Last night's Ubisoft Forward wasn't exactly crammed full of blockbusters, but the stand-out moment came in the form of an official release date for the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake. Pick it up on Jan. 21, 2021 for Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC.
It'll be backwards compatible on XBSX & PS5 too, if you're into that sort of thing.
The series has been back in our thoughts this year after some heart-wrenchingly cool development footage emerged in May of a cancelled reboot, working title Prince of Persia Redemption.
This remake is likely to be pretty faithful to the original, judging by the reverent, rose-tinted tone of the announcement. To further extend the nostalgia trip, you'll be able to unlock the original original Prince of Persia (released for Mac in 1992) within the game, and "even more surprises" await.
