In a wide-ranging interview with GQ, Sony boss Jim Ryan revealed that a follow up to PSVR is on the way, underlining their commitment to the Marmite technology that's been quietly building a base of titles and fans over the last few years.
A post on the official blog not long afterwards confirmed that this'll be an upgrade in every conceivable way: wider field of view, higher resolution, better tracking and input, and a single-cable connection. Wireless is still a step too far seemingly, but otherwise, all good on paper.
With the quality of VR and VR-supported games improving (see above), this'll definitely be worth a look when it arrives sometime next year. Whether or not you'll have managed to get hold of a PS5 by then, we can't confirm, and neither could Jim.
