After a leaked video caused a few rumbles last night, Microsoft bit the bullet and officially announced the Xbox Series S today. It'll hit the shops alongside its heftier brother on November 10th 2020.
It'll retail at £250 and be available on the Xbox All Access subscription program, which will be welcome news to anyone hoping to join the next-gen party without having to sell organs in time for Christmas.
Details are still a little sparse on the console itself, but it'll have no disc drive, and one can safely assume it'll be noticeably less powerful than the Series X, with a smaller HD. Whether or not 4k support or 60fps gameplay will survive the downgrade remains to be seen.
